If you don’t know what IRC is, it’s Internet relay chat, and in that channel (#bodybuilding) we discuss all things diet and exercise.

The video that was posted was about 9 minutes long and very informative.

I’ve been trying to explain this to people for years. Now it’s put into an easy to understand simple video.

The video covers the acidity and alkalinity of several foods and drinks and how your body struggles to maintain an internal balance.

Some things not covered in the video are facts about the artificial sweeteners used in the diet sodas that also do harm to your system.

Did you know that aspartame turns to formaldehyde in your body? Why put your liver through such hell?

Today however I woke up and decided to upgrade my fire pit in the backyard.

See I had this fire ring for years and it did fine, but I always wanted more. Wanted it to look a lot better.

I went to Lowes and Home Depot and found some stones that were suitable for the project at only $1.88 each.

I got 45 and ended up only using 40.

The most important part is to get your base ring nice and level then the rest just falls right into place.

Also have been working on getting our swimming pool installed and coming up with some plans for a deck. The pool is an above ground pool, 24 feet across, eight foot deep.

The tree next to the pool is coming down asap, and I gotta get the dirt moved and get the deck built.

When you do the math, sometimes you will quickly see that not all things are as safe as they appear to be. Dont get me wrong this is still a good meal for bulking, but the italian dressing surprised me. Use it lightly, just for taste and you will be fine.

Some say the refined carbs in the pasta are a bad idea. If refined carbs bothers you, simply use wheat pasta. I have no problem or guilt from ingesting refined carbohydrates.

A little over ten years later, and now basically anyone who can type can have their own website. Websites have gotten a lot simpler to create, and update too.

Nowadays a newer type of website has evolved likes blogs. What is a blog you ask? A blog is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. They are often called weblogs, more commonly known as blogs as I mentioned earlier. They are what you get when you cross a traditional website with a message forum.

Blogs have made it even easier to have an online presence. All you have to do is sign up for a host, (free or paid) pick a template, and just write down your beliefs, thoughts, knowledge, experiences, etc. and post.

Traditional websites have gotten easier to handle, but nowhere near as simple as a blog. The quickest person would probably take a couple of hours to setup a website, because you have to add pages and content before your website is even ready. A blog on the other hand, just one post and you are good to go.

Online hosting is another factor to consider whether you are going to have a blog or a website. While there are free hosts for both of them, like blogspot.com, wordpress.com or livejournal.com, and many others,  you have more control on the ones you pay for. I use Godaddy.com shared hosting for my blogs and use WordPress as a backend platform in which to develop them. WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

With platforms to blog on like WordPress, you can use what is known as “plug-ins” to increase its functionality. I use two that work really well called postie and subscribe2. Postie allows me to write my blog posts in an email and email it to and address that I set up. Postie checks every 5 minutes, and if something is in the mailbox that I sent the post too, it parses it and posts it as an article on my blog. Along with this, if you have subscribed to my blog, subsribe2 will email you and notify you of the new blog post. I also use tweet this to automatically tweet my new blog posts to twitter.

Blogs are great if you have a certain niche and can zero it in on that niche. You could easily profit from your blogging with affiliates as well. I will have to touch base on that one later on this month, but for now how about you get yourself a blog and start blogging!

I knew then all I needed to do was find an old church pew and I could cut it to the length I wanted and it would be perfect for my needs.

I drove all over the country looking for old churches that were rotting and falling down, in hopes I would find one with pews inside. I never found a church.

I asked all my friends on facebook and twitter and got some responses but nothing really panned out. I also saw some on craiglist but were too expensive and too far for it be justifiable.

I had almost giving up, then a co-worker that works with my wife knew of one at a friends house, and we struck up a deal. I got it for $40.

It was a nice older bench, about 8 feet in length. I looked it over and thought…hrmmm I could cut this in half and have two benches.

So with that in mind I went to the hardware store and got two 10 foot 2×10′s. Next I measured the length of the bench, found the center,  popped a string line in the middle and cut it in half.

After it was cut in half, I used the 2×10′s to copy each end exactly. Now I had two benches. A little dark stain applied and wallah, two nice benches.

What is with these prehistoric morons driving 20mph while on the cellphone and can not merge onto the interstate at all!

I mean this guy I was following this morning was trying to merge onto the interstate and he  ended up stopping at the end of the on ramp with me and several others behind him.

This is how accidents happen people!

I mean who could this guy have been talking too? He was so old, surely all his friends were dead right?

This is one of my biggest pet peeves.
