Ok started this Monday off with Johnathan Bray laying laminate hardwood flooring in my home.
Before I was laid off and eventually nulled out from WACO when the facility closed down, I had purchased enough flooring to do the house as well as an addition we were planning on doing to the house.
This flooring eventually ended up in storage until we could get the addition built but since the addition would be put on hold for who knows how long, we decided to go ahead and do the existing part of the house for now.
Let me be the first to tell you that no matter how many videos you watch or books you read, you should not try to do an entire house unless you have done it before.
I am so glad I hired a helping hand that knows how to do this. If I had not done so, it would have probably taken me about 7 days or so to do what we did in 3 days.
It took 49 boxes to do the house and he was so good at it that we only had about half a wheel barrel full of waste left over. Thats 392 boards we put down and had to tap each one in place.
These were the 7 inch wide boards. Not those little skinny ones. I wouldn’t wish those on anyone.
Once we got started it was fairly easy to layout. We had to move things from one room to another, totally cluttering up rooms until one room was complete, and then move things back into the room. It was a complete mess for 3 days. All of the baseboards had to come up, get put back down, and repainted.
When it was all over it turned out great. Now we have some durable easy to clean floors. We love em.
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you in on some good news that came my way recently.
Almost on a daily basis I visit my friends site RyanWade.com and it just so happened that early in September he was having a contest and giving away Items that he had around the house that he was not using to the winners.
The items were a wireless keyboard and mouse, a digital camera, a blackberry curve cell phone, a pair of sunglasses, and a linksys router.
All you had to do was comment on his blog about why you felt as if you needed or wanted these items and come October 1st he would pick the best winners.
I applied for all, but what I REALLY wanted was the new linksys router.
Ryan later decided to do a twitter contest on WHY DO YOU USE TWITTER. It just so happens that I use twitter and already I am a active follower of Ryan so this was easy. This was my tweet I tried this one and WON IT!

50 women tried out Friday for the area’s newest football team — the Seattle Mist.
The Mist is one of 10 proposed teams in the Lingerie Football League, an expansion of the popular 35-minute Lingerie Bowl games played on pay-per-view during Super Bowl halftime the past three years.
The Lingerie Football League started as a pay-per-view, counter-programming stunt during the halftime of the Super Bowl. Now, it has grown into a complete 10-team indoor league.
A lot of people are wondering just what do these women get when they make the team, well the women who make the team will make more than $40,000 per year, and there is a possibility for ad spots featuring some of them.
League play won’t start until next September, partly because football skill isn’t a requirement. The tryout at Green Lake Field was more about testing athletic ability and gauging beauty.

Send The Common Sense Fix to your Representatives and Senators and tell them how you expect them to vote, and that if they put this nation in $700 billion of debt, that you will vote them out. It’s their job to listen to us! (Whichever presidential candidate or political party that champions this plan from their leadership down will likely become the next president. That is because this plan fixes the crisis while going along with the wishes of the vast majority of Americans.)
