Also have been working on getting our swimming pool installed and coming up with some plans for a deck. The pool is an above ground pool, 24 feet across, eight foot deep.

The tree next to the pool is coming down asap, and I gotta get the dirt moved and get the deck built.

I quickly grabbed a Nikon Camera (s230) with video capture capabilities and started to record. You just never know what might happen.

I then later edited it a little bit in Adobe Premiere Elements 8 and made it a little funnier.

He stayed with me in the backyard and watched me work all day today.

Here is a look back on him.

I found the video to be informative and decided to cut out the section from the entire video and share with the world.

Jack had a visitor this weekend. His brother Stubbs came by to see him.

Stubbs is a black and silver dapple which is from the same litter as Jack. It just so happens that my sister which lives about 50 miles from me got her a puppy from the exact same litter as I did. How amazing is that!

Jack was all beside himself. He finally had a playmate that was JUST LIKE HIM!

They both sound exactly the same when they bark and have the same builds. It was so cute to see them play together. They played for a few hours nonstop chasing each other and sharing chew toys.

I tried to get pictures of them playing but they were too fast to get any decent pictures.

This one is pretty simple… Please tell ten friends to tell ten today!

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily t o meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes less than a minute (How about 0.8 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box ‘fund food for animals’ for free. This doesn’t COST YOU a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.

JACK THE DACHSHUND

Jack is now a little over 3 months old and he loves hiding his pigskin chewtoys. I dont understand why he does it. He doesnt want to hide any of his toys or other things just those pigskin chews that I give him every now and then.

I saw him today take his little pigskin and take it to this area of the living room thats by the couch and in between the couch and end table he likes to pretend to bury it. He actually tries to dig for a bit, place the pigskin in an imaginary hole, then proceed to nose the imaginary dirt over the hole.

This is pure instinct on his part. Isn’t that just amazing. Its in his DNA to do those things.

He has two of those skins that I let him play with and he hides each one. If I find one, he will relocate it for later. Today he tried to place one behind the bedroom door and he goes back often to check on it. Its really funny.

Yesterday he ran off and I ended up at the neighbors home and they have a cat named Tinkerbell. This was Jacks second encounter with Tinkerbell and I have some video of it. Its kinda cute.

DEE EL THE NAWLINS DOG

He recently got a new collar with some *BLING*

Other than that he has just been acting cool as always. He loves to ride and I take him to town most of the time with me. He recently started doing this thing in the car thats pretty cool. He will brace himself in the turns. Yes he really does. He will sometimes put his hands on the middle console in between the bucket seats and he will have his back legs on the back seat. Usually he stays proped up against the passenger seat and if I turn  to my left, he is fine, he just leans on the passenger seat. If I turn to my right, he braces hims self with his left hand on the driver seat. Its really cute. I will have to get some video or pictures of this soon.

LOUIE

Louies eye healed up nicely. He has been away from home for a bit chasing a lil female pup, but he is back home for now just chillin.

I do however have some pictures of him that I dug up of when he was 6 weeks old.

I was getting worried about him Tuesday and went riding on my around the block looking for him and could not find him anywhere. I was fearing that I might find him laid up in a ditch somewhere or found victim of the highway, but I didn’t thank goodness.

Wednesday, I fired up the four-wheeler and went riding to look for him, and this time I wanted to ride through the fields nearby and see if maybe he was hurt or injured or even dead somewhere. If he was I would be sad, but at least I would know, you know what I mean?

While on the four-wheeler I was able to go places that I couldn’t in the truck and I managed to find him!

He was at a ladies house who had a some big dog, I forget what kind it was, but she was in heat and had Louie crazy! The lady said she tried to run him off several times and that she didnt see a tag on him. Well he has a tag, but Im sure he wouldnt let anyone close.

He came right to me as if he missed me greatly, and wanted to hop in my lap as I sat on the four-wheeler and thats not like him, because he hates the four-wheeler.

I grabbed him and eased home. He didn’t really like the ride home, but once we were home I put him on a long runner cable near his dog house.

He has been howling wanting to get back over there to his girlfriend. He will get over it soon.

I need him to be safe at home, and I still have medicine to give him every 12 hours for his eye, so girlfriends will have to wait.

He is one of our outside pets that just showed up one day like a stray.

One day Justin my stepson and I were out in the shop working out and we saw this cute small mostly black dog with white feet looking at us and Louie, our other dog, from across the field.

He seemed very interested in us and Louie so we called for him and he came to us. He was very shy at first and cautious.

I managed to get him to come to be and gave him a dog biscuit which he loved a great deal.
As Justin and I clanked some weights around he didn’t like that at all and ran. I coaxed him back to us and gave him more dog treats. He obviously didnt like loud noises, so we relaxed on that for a bit and just rubbed on him and made him feel comfortable.

We expected just to pet on him for a bit and never see him again as we have seen dogs come and go around here.

He ended up staying though and he has been here for over a year and a half now.
He has been gone for a day or two but thats it, he has been here for the most part and now calls it home.

I feel like he came from a broken environment somehow. He is scared of loud noises and really scared of pellet guns and the like. We have some and I moved one from the garage to the storage shed once and he took off and I coudn’t figure out why. Later I noticed that he had a BB lodge under the skin on his right shoulder and its embedded there. Appearantly he had been shot at before, and thats why he is scared.

Funny thing though. I took some pics of him to work once and a co-worker recognized him and immediatly called him Baptist Bob. I was like what? Why do they call him that? She explained that he used to hang around the church that she goes to which is right now the road from me. All the kids and everyone there called him Baptist Bob or BB for short and said he was always on time for church, always.

I guess my bad habits of not going to church regularly have rubbed off on him.

I also Know now that he must not really belong to anyone, except me now. I have taken him to the vet and gotten him all checked out and everything.

He must have had a previous owner or two as he is well rounded dog.
He loads up in the car or truck and loves to ride. He loves to have his head out the window or simply sit on the backseat of my car and chilax in the air condition.

He once road all day long with me to find Jack (when I got him) and he never once complained to get out or barked at others passing by or anything. He is a very good dog to have near.

I took him with me camping once with my Dad, he has one of those nice gooseneck type campers with the side outs, and DL spent the night inside and never once barked at noises, never uriniated or defecated inside. He slept with me right through the night solid, in fact, I had to wake him up!

There was also this one instance where we were on a trip to VEGAS and Justin could not go. Justin came home to get something once and DL snuck in the house, probably looking for me. He had been in the house before but he is not an all the time inside dog. Anyways, Justin left the house and left DL inside for like a day and a half.

When we got home, nothing was out of place. He never once used the bathroom inside nor tore anything up. He is amazing like that!

He is definatly one of a kind. Very smart. Very Loyal to me. He is like my buddy.

I almost have him trained to not get into the car unless I open the back door and tell him to get in.
