Steps to becoming a socialist country from someone who lived through it.

The author of this article lives in South Dakota and appears to be very active in attempting to maintain our freedom. I encourage everybody to read this article and pass it along.  I see so many parallels in this country–are we going to sit by and watch it happen?  Spread the word; also contact your congressional reps; vote them out if they don’t do what they should.  If you don’t want to be bothered, then you’re part of the problem! Google Kitty Werthmann and you will see articles and videos.

Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don’t Let Freedom Slip Away

What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history.  I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history.  We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote..  I’ve never read that in any American publications.  Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression.  Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed.  We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.

Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily.  Young people were going from house to house begging for food.  Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.  My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need.  Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.

The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other.  Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed.  The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.
We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933.  We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.  Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group — Jewish or otherwise.  We were led to believe that everyone was happy.  We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family.  Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back.  Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler. Post Workout Meal Nutritional Facts

Yesterday I posted an article on one of my favorite muscle building meals if you are trying to bulk up. I was asked for the nutritional values of this meal, so I quickly went through the cupboard and started to do the math.

When you do the math, sometimes you will quickly see that not all things are as safe as they appear to be. Dont get me wrong this is still a good meal for bulking, but the italian dressing surprised me. Use it lightly, just for taste and you will be fine.

Some say the refined carbs in the pasta are a bad idea. If refined carbs bothers you, simply use wheat pasta. I have no problem or guilt from ingesting refined carbohydrates.

So without further delay, here is the nutrional makeup for the meal made yesterday.

Post Workout Meal with Pics

I have often mentioned one of my favorite meals to friends and I eat it a lot post workout. Just the other  day on twitter a friend asked me for the recipe. I thought I might get around to that someday, but I recently ate it AGAIN and though I would take pics as I cooked it and make a blog post out of it.

Before you get started read this several times. I have had some get confused and omit the Italian dressing, and even boil the tuna from the start. First of all the Italian dressing is the most important part to the flavor, second I only add the tuna at the end and let it sit in the water for about 1 minute to get it all warm.

I call it Tuna Deluxe. Its Tuna with Pasta, throw some peas of some sort in there for the fiber, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART add Italian Dressing and lots of pepper with a dash of salt. Some all the tuna and pasta meal the prison meal cause they say its what a lot of inmates eat in the “joint” to get huge. If it works for them hopefully it will work for me, and its delicious to boot! I would pay for what this meal I am about to teach you to create.

Thank me later. (or now)

Ok you will need the following:

  • A pot to boil water in, mine is a 1 1/2 quart or maybe its 2.
  • 2 cans of chunk light tuna in water, drained
  • 2 1/2 cup of uncooked wide egg noodles
  • 1/2 can of chickpeas or any peas for that matter. I like chickpeas, but purple hull peas or crowder peas work well too.
  • 3/4 cup Italian Dressing
  • Salt and lots of Pepper

Ok here is all our ingredients we will be using. Listen to me real quick. This may sound disgusting and even look disgusting but trust me, if you like pasta, you like tuna, you like Italian dressing…you will like this.

Ok boil your water, add the pasta, and yes I know it seems like a lot, but HEY we gotta feed those muscles!
When cooking noodles you can add a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to keep it from boiling over.
Cook it for about 7 minutes or until tender but not gummy. We want out pasta to have a little bit of strength to it. Its know as Al Dente.

I have a blog…do you?

When the Internet first started, there were virtually no blogs, there were just websites.
These websites probably took a long time to put together, and they took a lot to update as well. The Internet was a lot more complicated then and only people with extensive tech knowledge could publish. All anyone else could do was just read the content.

A little over ten years later, and now basically anyone who can type can have their own website. Websites have gotten a lot simpler to create, and update too.

Nowadays a newer type of website has evolved likes blogs. What is a blog you ask? A blog is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. They are often called weblogs, more commonly known as blogs as I mentioned earlier. They are what you get when you cross a traditional website with a message forum.

Blogs have made it even easier to have an online presence. All you have to do is sign up for a host, (free or paid) pick a template, and just write down your beliefs, thoughts, knowledge, experiences, etc. and post.

Traditional websites have gotten easier to handle, but nowhere near as simple as a blog. The quickest person would probably take a couple of hours to setup a website, because you have to add pages and content before your website is even ready. A blog on the other hand, just one post and you are good to go.

Online hosting is another factor to consider whether you are going to have a blog or a website. While there are free hosts for both of them, like blogspot.com, wordpress.com or livejournal.com, and many others,  you have more control on the ones you pay for. I use Godaddy.com shared hosting for my blogs and use WordPress as a backend platform in which to develop them. WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

With platforms to blog on like WordPress, you can use what is known as “plug-ins” to increase its functionality. I use two that work really well called postie and subscribe2. Postie allows me to write my blog posts in an email and email it to and address that I set up. Postie checks every 5 minutes, and if something is in the mailbox that I sent the post too, it parses it and posts it as an article on my blog. Along with this, if you have subscribed to my blog, subsribe2 will email you and notify you of the new blog post. I also use tweet this to automatically tweet my new blog posts to twitter.

Blogs are great if you have a certain niche and can zero it in on that niche. You could easily profit from your blogging with affiliates as well. I will have to touch base on that one later on this month, but for now how about you get yourself a blog and start blogging!
